Hello anyone who may be out there! This is not my first Sims 3 legacy but it is my first attempt at blogging one. I love ISBIs but am lacking the attention span for a long one right now, plus I've never done one with all insane sims before.
The basic rules can be found here.
As I usually do, I'm going to bend them a bit to suit my playing style and how I want to run this particular legacy. I'll be playing this on the "medium" life span. Therefore LTWs are pretty much out. The focus of this ISBI will be sheer survival and keeping the social worker away. I'm aiming for 10 generations, but no promises.
I'll be keeping a tally but not a score, though I may calculate a score at the end just for shits and giggles.
All traits will be random except I am going to make all my sims insane. If I can't choose at least one baby trait, I'll change one of the traits (rolling a die to determine which one) to insane in Master Controller.
All outfits will be either default or done randomly with only colors/patterns changed. I will also keep the hair the sim aged up into UNLESS I start seeing the same hair over and over on my Sims. That makes me insane, so I reserve the right to change it. I may also change hair color if desired.
LTWs will be randomized as well, I'll roll a die to determine which one a sim will have. Since most of them won't be fulfillable anyway, it doesn't really matter.
I will check my sims for wishes and to clean out their inventories. I'll lock in any wish I think a sim can fulfill without me, as well as accepting opportunities they can do autonomously (and that includes no clicking on the opportunity tab).
I plan on spending whatever lifetime happiness points anyone gets, but all need related rewards are off the table, obviously.
I will control any pets the family gets but, for added excitement, I will count their pee fails and passouts in the tally.
A few more things to know; I swear, sometimes a lot. Gifs and memes play a prominent part in my stories. My storytelling style is much less "best selling fiction" and a whole lot more "Mystery Science Theater 3000". I don't so much tell a story as run commentary on my sims' little reality show, with a great deal of snark. I also talk to my sims, you'll be questioning my sanity by the end of this.
